A local authority has received an award for an occupational therapy service it helped to create.
According to reports in the Bradford Telegraph Argus, Bradford council has launched a website which helps to assess whether people in the local area need living aids, such as special baths and stairlifts, people with occupational therapy jobs may be interested to note.
It means that patients can get advice without having to book and wait for an appointment with an occupational therapist.
The ADL SmartAssist website was set up by the council's Adult Service in collaboration with ADL Smartcare - a firm which was established in 2002 and matches individuals with technology solutions.
Occupational therapy manager Jane Pegg and senior occupational therapist Sue Buckley picked up the accolade during a recent ceremony in London.
Councillor Dale Smith, executive member for adult services, said: "This is a fantastic achievement and underlines what a useful tool this website is."
