A new team of medical professionals has been set up in Bath to help people who suffer from brain injuries and long-term neurological problems.
The service comprises a range of people with UK medical jobs, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists and a speech therapist.
Developed by Bath and North East Somerset Primary Care Trust - which provides services to more than 186,000 people - the initiative is designed to help support patients in establishing personal goals, the BBC reports.
Enthusing about the service, Bath resident and multiple sclerosis sufferer Claygone Jackson said: "Recently I noticed that my speech was becoming blurred. My occupational therapist recommended that I should try speech therapy.
"I think this is one of the benefits of the new service, because the therapists work together."
According to the BBC, around 70 patients are being assisted through the service, which has been made possible by an investment of £230,000 from the health trust.
